Is it even worth fixing an old iPod?
If it means something to you, absolutely. A new battery and flash storage turn a dead Classic into something that out-lasts and out-stores the original — and a lot of people just prefer offline music and that click wheel. We'll quote it so you can decide.
My iPod clicks or shows a folder/exclamation icon — what's wrong?
That's the classic sign of a failing hard drive. We can replace the drive, or better, upgrade it to flash (iFlash) so it never spins — or skips — again.
Can you really add Bluetooth to an iPod Classic?
Yes — with the Classic Connect 2 mod we add Bluetooth audio, so you can pair wireless earbuds or a speaker. All the wheel, none of the wires.
How much storage can you add?
A lot. With iFlash adapters and SD/flash we can take a Classic well past its original capacity — up to a terabyte or more on the right generation — with better battery life as a bonus.
Will I lose my music?
On a drive swap or upgrade we preserve your library wherever the old drive is readable, and we'll always tell you up front if data is at risk. We can also help you re-sync from your computer. Back up if you can before bringing it in.
Which iPods do you repair?
All of them — Classic (1st–7th gen), Video/5.5, Photo, mini, nano and the original. For the touchscreen iPod touch, see its own page. Out of town? We accept mail-in repairs and mods.
How long does it take?
Battery, click wheel, screen and jack repairs are usually same-day. Storage upgrades, Bluetooth mods and hard-drive jobs are quoted with a timeline since parts vary by generation.
